Schweitzer's Deep Tissue Therapy Workshop
A Brief Description:
Schweitzer's Deep Tissue Therapy three-day hands-on workshop teaches participants a rigorous biomechanical system coupled with new and innovative techniques. The purpose of the workshop is to teach Massage Therapists a system of deep tissue therapy that, when used correctly, will eliminate the possibility of occupational strain and injury.
My clients regularly expect deep tissue therapy from me. I now have the means to provide effective therapy without the negative impact to my own body. Anyone who intends on having a long career in massage therapy needs to explore "Schweitzer's Deep Tissue Therapy" course.

Problems Facing the Massage Therapy Profession:
The problem facing the massage therapy profession is that educators spend insufficient time educating therapist's on effective biomechanics. This practice has resulted in occupational strain and injury.
Educators continue to teach deep tissue therapy incorporating thumbs and fingertips. This is one of the major causes of high incidence occupational strain and injury.
Over 80% of Schweitzer's students report pain in their hands, wrists, arms and back resulting from their treatment style.
Therapists are extremely concerned about the longevity of their careers due to the potential of chronic injury.
On average, Massage Therapists exit the profession within five years of beginning practice due to occupational strain, injury or burnout.
Therapists not experiencing pain are still concerned about wear and tear on their bodies due to the rigors of working in such a labour intensive profession.
Most clients require or demand deep tissue treatment. It is therefore paramount that practitioners provide deep tissue treatment otherwise a decrease in client base and subsequent decrease in revenue may result.

I graduated from a three year 3000 hour program in Canada. My hands hurt while giving massage treatments. I was discouraged about this and questioned how long I could practice in my newly chosen field. After taking "Schweitzer's Deep Tissue Therapy" workshop, I am now able to work as many hours as I choose and my body doesn't hurt anywhere. Thank you.

After practicing massage therapy for 14 years, I realized that I would have to change my technique. My hands, arms and low back were showing signs of progressive degeneration such as joint pain and stiffness. Since taking "Schweitzer's Deep Tissue Therapy" a year ago, I have used it exclusively. Now, at the end of my workday, I still feel energized and my hands, arms and low back don't feel traumatized. My patients are also excited about the techniques as they experience less discomfort while still enjoying the effects of deep tissue work.
