Gary Schweitzer is dedicated to the development of cutting-edge continuing-education programs, clinical research and therapeutic services.
Gary has worked as a Massage Therapist for thirteen years and has over fifteen thousand hours of hands-on clinical experience. He has six years of Post-Graduate education in Deep Tissue Therapy with a well known Vancouver B.C. based educator. He has been teaching at the Post-Graduate level Internationally for five years.
Gary has extensive clinical experience from his private practice where he works along side two medical doctors. In addition, he has served the massage therapy profession on the Board of Directors for the College of Massage Therapists of B.C. for over six years. He has sat on various committees in service to his profession.
Gary decided to teach massage therapists as a means of giving back to the profession that has given him so much. It is out of his deep commitment for his colleagues that Gary has decided to teach his system of massage therapy.
Throughout his career as a Massage Therapist and Educator, Gary Schweitzer has been recognized as an innovator in the field of deep tissue therapy. Schweitzer's Deep Tissue Therapy is a rigorous biomechanical and technical system that he presents in a three-day hands-on workshop. Gary's workshops have earned him an
international reputation for teaching excellence. Through these workshops, Gary is committed to enhancing the professional experience of massage therapists while preserving and protecting the practitioner from the threat of occupational strain and injury. His workshops have assisted countless therapists to transform their work and reclaim the joy of clinical practice.
Mr. Schweitzer is developing a research project to prove that his system of deep tissue therapy can successfully
reverse the painful effects of occupational strain and injury. He asserts that his approach, if embraced fully, will allow therapists to work pain-free for life.
Gary Schweitzer teaches in North America and Europe and is often accompanied by his outstanding teaching assistants.
