About Gary

Gary Schweitzer is dedicated to the development of cutting-edge continuing-education programs, clinical research and therapeutic services.

Gary has worked as a Massage Therapist for seventeen years and has over seventeen thousand hours of hands-on clinical experience. He has six years of post-graduate education in Deep Tissue Therapy. He has been teaching at the Post-Graduate level Internationally for the last nine years.

Gary has extensive clinical experience from his private practice. Previously he worked along side two medical doctors for fourteen years. In addition, he has served the massage therapy profession on the Board of Directors for the College of Massage Therapists of B.C. for over six years. He has also sat on various committees in service to his profession.

Throughout his career as a Massage Therapist and Educator, Gary Schweitzer has been recognized as an innovator in the field of deep tissue therapy. Schweitzer's Deep Tissue Therapy (SDTT) is a rigorous biomechanical and technical system that he has presented in a three-day hands-on workshop. Gary's workshops have earned him an international reputation for teaching excellence. Gary is teaching three day intensive workshops now by invitation only, however his platform workshop SDTT-Basic Level is now offered on film in DVD format.
